We had an amazing stay here in Les Bouchon. Our Gite (Le Petite Bouchon) was very spacious with shabby chic decor. Very comfortable with everything you needed and more for self catering. The hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble they even invited us out for Bastille night to join them if we wanted, we did and it was a great night. Would certainly recommend to any discerning traveller looking for good comfortable accommodation and are used to 5 star.
Les Bouchons was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. A lovely place for a romantic holiday, a beautiful gite with very tasteful decor, extremely clean and with all you need for a relaxing break, the shower was amazing!! great attention to detail. A couple of days we didn't feel the need to venture out as we stayed by the pool and ate al fresco. There are lots of places to visit in the surrounding areas and a lovely walk by the river. Most of all the hosts were extremely friendly, welcoming, warm and attentive without being obtrusive.
We stayed here in August and had an amazing time. The hosts are lovely, the Gites are clean and spacious and the swimming pool is the best we have even swam in - it has a soft lining and even has an outdoor shower next to it.
There is a lovely big lake with a sandy beach a short drive away, and I'd highly recommend the nearby Le Bontemps restaurant in La Rouch-Chalais.
Just back from an amazing two weeks spent at the fabulous Les Bouchons!! Thank you Rebecca & Ian who can only be described as super hosts!! This team made our family holiday complete, welcoming us with a pre-requested dinner, a glass of bubbly and warming smiles after a long journey.
My family of 4 plus my parents stayed in the Grande Bouchons, the space and facilities catered so well for a chilled out family holiday, there is absolutely nothing missing from these Luxury properties and amenities.... we immediately felt at home and relaxed! We enjoyed chilling in the gorgeous garden and the kids and adults alike had lots of fun in the pool. The little village and surrounding area is idyllic and picturesque which we took lots of little day trips to explore, there is a wealth of water/biking activities on hand to satisfy the adrenaline junkies! Just a short trip into the beautiful City of Bordeaux and Saint Emillion are also not to be missed!
Not to be missed. The hospitality is amazing. The properties are of a very high standard and spec and the owners have every little detail covered. It will be must stay place for us from now on. Thank you xx
As a cyclist, this was the perfect place to stay and central to some amazing road biking. Fantastic countryside, smooth roads, the perfect mix of views and challenge. There is so much flexibility to accommodate a mixed group and the hosts couldn’t have helped more. Definitely back to explore further.

Lovely place, lovely hosts, lovely region. Handy for the vineyards of Bergerac and Saint Emilion. 50 minutes to the great city of Bordeaux. Situated in a quaint village with butcher and general store there's no need to venture far from the gardens and beautiful pool. Child and dog friendly. Highly recommended.
If you want to stay somewhere with the WOW factor then Les Bouchons ticks all the boxes. Located in an idyllic setting, it is full of charm and with accommodation that exceeded expectations, we absolutely loved it! A special thank you to Ian and Rebecca, the owners, who not only made us feel very welcome but offered many special ‘home from home’ thoughtful touches throughout our stay.
